Deluded people
the most realistic disqualified from leadership
for refusing to validate the illusions of the majority
wars against anyone who objects all around the world
& financing & equipment for those wars
& services for the warriors
dead, maimed, active, or pensioned
the main industry
tho plenty wander unable to rally themselves
unable to engage with those who struggle
to be part of what produces the insane results they’ve seen
& a vast, tepid religiosity
& hostility against any prophet
shrewdness proclaimed wisdom & worshipped
the wealthiest who began with advantages since camouflaged
acclaimed bold genius benefactors
multitudes striving to overcome odds
only a few can possibly overcome
each refusing to cooperate with the others’ campaigns
& as tho only their own folly could account for it
blaming the exhausted for their exhaustion
those who have lied themselves
into positions of judging, hiring, publishing, & broadcasting
reflexively discounting honest contradiction of indoctrination
false history repeated again & again
the language turned against any native speaker who doesn’t stop
to wonder if what he or she has uttered can possibly be true?
every sort of resource wasted
repeatedly studies commissioned
how has so much been wasted?
the respectable appoint the respectable
those in position to allocate resources
without understanding how they might be wisely used
allocate them to their legal thief allies
those who sacrifice integrity & caring for the needy
to the interests of the wealthiest & strongest reprobates
& the infantile wishes of those tasked with reporting starkest reality
which would enable a new beginning in the rubble
win election after election & score huge fees & salaries—
& isolated, desperate, dedicated leaders treated as fools
& betrayed again & again—as chickens peck a runt to death—
til, if they survive so long, they shrug off their sense of solidarity
with those who use it against them
& dedicate themselves to whoever remains or will arrive
with integrity, righteousness, loving kindness, cosmic reverence
beginning with their caring selves.
Reclaim the territory between the top of your head
& soles of your feet—I need your cooperation!
